Opinion: I’ll be the first to admit I’m not the biggest fan of the “Otome Villainess Isekai”. A lot of the otome isekai series I’ve read are just too hokey, but I’ve fallen for this series just based on the comedy.

The art is unreal, I don’t think I would have bought this series or continued it if the art wasn’t so good. Very detailed, great job creating the fantasy and royalty atmosphere. Face proportions can sometimes be odd but overall it’s a gorgeous series.

The heroine is so annoying and meek. That said the world building is so interesting and it drops a lot of the otome stuff early on. The real reason to stay is how hilarious the series is. Every chapter I’m laughing at loud, howling at the male leads obsession and the lengths he goes to be with the heroine.

That is all to add this is a pretty graphic smut (H) series and honestly good plot is hard to find in that genre.

Opinion: So the pictures that Viz has been using to promote this series definitely does it dirty. I wasn’t sure if I would like it so I read it on the Viz Manga app but instantly knew I needed to own a hard copy!

The art is so nice. I’ve always love this mangakas work. They are mostly known in NA for their series Koukou Debut. Big fan. The art is still pretty similar but the male lead can look janky cause he’s so tall from time to time which is weird for such a seasoned mangaka. The art is detailed but very subdued and slice of life realistic (for shoujo manga).

The story is so sweet but frustrating. It’s tells the story of first love so well, the awkwardness of it. It is SO OBVIOUS how the heroine and male lead like each other but obviously miscommunications abound.

I’ve only read one volume, the second comes out next week, but I really like it. I like the trope. I like the heroine is tall and feels awkward because that was my life too. If you don’t like miscommunication tropes you can skip it but it definitely feels like quintessential shoujo reading.

Opinion: Very chapter based rather than plot driven which was dissapoiting but the art is great.

So to start I think the only reason I finished this series is because I loved the art so much. The heroine and male lead just look so good I would definitely read more from this mangaka if the improved their story telling.

So the story is kind of insane with a lot of plot holes. Also any issue or plot lines start and resolve within one chapter sometimes two. I guess it was just more episodic. It was a bit disappointing I was expecting something more similar to “Our Fake Marriage” but you win some and lose some.

Just a note the smut in this one is very light but abundant. Every chapter something happens but it fades to black pretty quick. Like a harlequin romance.
